In this blog we will see how to Enable Copilot for Model-Driven Apps in D365 CRM.

Copilot for model-driven apps in Power Apps is a next-generation AI assistant that helps app users gain insights into the data in their apps through natural language conversations. Copilot enhances app users’ productivity with AI-powered insights and intuitive app navigation.

Note:

This feature is generally available in Dynamics 365 apps.

  • To use this capability, your environment must be in the US region and have its language set to en-US.

Steps for Enable copilot for model-driven apps feature for your environment:

Step-1:Sign in to the Power Platform admin center at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com.

 

 

 

 

Step-2:In the left navigation pane, go to Environments and choose the environment where you want to enable copilot for app users in model-driven apps. From the command bar, select Settings for this environment.

In settings, Select Product –> Select Feature.

 

Here we will see Copilot option now Enable this option.set the value for Allow users to analyze data using an AI-powered chat experience in canvas and model-driven apps to On, and then Save your changes.

Set your environment to receive monthly updates for model-driven apps

Makers must set their environment to receive monthly model-driven apps updates as a prerequisite for having copilot for end users in model-driven apps.

Sign in to the Power Platform admin center at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com.
In the navigation pane, go to Environments and select the environment where you want to enable copilot for app users in model-driven apps. Select Settings on the command bar.
Select Product > Behavior.

Set the Release channel for model-driven apps to the Monthly channel, and then Save your changes.

When enabled, the copilot is accessible via the copilot icon in a model-driven app’s right navigation bar. The copilot pane can be opened or minimised as needed.

Disable copilot for a model driven app

Makers can turn off copilot for their model-driven app. In-app designer, open your model-driven app for Edit and then select Settings from the command bar. On the Settings screen, select Upcoming and then toggle Copilot Control off. Save and publish the model-driven app to ensure that the changes take effect.
